Please follow these COVID-19 protocols when you are visiting the VUT Library

• Users must bring their university ID cards as usual and show permits at the entrance to the Library. 
• Hand sanitizers are provided at the entrance for use before entering the Library. 
• Face masks need to be worn at all times and entering the library without a mask is prohibited. 
• Make use of designated spaces in the Library, which is ground floor, Level 1 and Level 4. Access to Level 2 and 3 is not permitted. 
• Always keep 1.5 or 2 meter distance between other people. 
• Sanitize or wash your hands often. 
• Study rooms are not available. 
• No browsing on the book shelves is allowed. 
• All computer labs are open for use and space is limited due to social distancing. 

Issuing and returning of books: 
• No browsing is permitted. If you need a book, please request it via ASK A LIBRARIAN platform and indicate the time you would visit the library to fetch it. Alternatively, you may ask the staff at the Circulation Desk in the Library to assist you with retrieving the book from the shelves. 
• Books will be kept at the Circulation Desk on hold once retrieved from the shelves for you. 
• Please use the Self Check out machine when borrowing books. 
• Library books should be returned via the Self Check in machine inside the library during the opening hours. 

Please note that the Virtual Services to support teaching, learning and research continue as usual. Reference and information chat is still available on ASK A LIBRARIAN platform from Mondays to Fridays, between 09h00 – 16h00.
